Excellant post and a very good perspective. I really like how you think

You write an interesting take on the pro wrestling business. I would wager to guess that ANY show or promotion trying to establish themselves in today's market needs two things; a market niche (something different than the usual WWE fare) and a batch of fresh talent. No matter what it would take at LEAST the better part of a year and a sizeable infusion of dollars to make a promotion fly.

Fantasy Report: Tight Ends (Early Edition)

Fantasy Football Report-(Early Edition)

Tight Ends

Top Ten-
1.Antonio Gates
2.Jeremy Shockey
3.Alge Crumpler
4.Tony Gonzalez
5.Todd Heap
6.Heath Miller
7.Chris Cooley
8.L.J. Smith
9.Jason Witten
10.Ben Watson

Top Ten Potential: Da. Clark, K. Winslow, J. Stevens, R. McMichael, B. Troupe.

Rising-
1. T. Heap: The addition of Steve McNair is huge for the Raven's TE.
2. L.J. Smith: The absence of T.O. should mean more looks his way.

Falling-
1. J. Witten: I think the addition of T.O will take a way some of Witten's endzone opportunities.
2. T. Gonzalez: The Chiefs are clearly a running team, which means Gonzalez may continue to see his TD chances dwindle.

Sleeper: Ben Watson. He may be one of the few reliable targets for Tom Brady, other than Branch. He has certainly distanced himself from Daniel Graham.

Super Sleeper: Zachery Hilton. Who? He has "Gates" type potential and has drawn comparisions. Who better to bring it out in him than Drew Brees?

Keep an eye on: Kellen Winslow. Is this the year we finally see him play, and he becomes that "steal of the draft" I predicted two season's ago?

-This is a very deep year at the Tight End position, second only to the Wide Receiver pool. Some questions exist. Can Gates thrive with a new QB in San Diego? Can McMichael finally become a consistent fantasy TE, with Culpepper in Miami? Will Fantasy owners continue to be haunted by Boo Williams?

-More next week, fantasy fans.

 Express-o Shots-(6/21/6)

  •  I am really looking forword to tomorrow night's (Thursday)Astros-Twins game. It will feature one of the best pitching match-ups of the season, when the returning Roger Clemens faces off against the young and rising Francisco Liarino of The Twins. I hope this game lives up to the hype. It should be a good one.
  • Speaking of this game, "Baseball Tonight" should really do more research when discussing "small market teams." It seems as if when they are not analyzing teams on the east coast, they tend to get their facts wrong. Like when they mentioned that Clemens was coming back into a good situation, because The Twins have been struggling, only to later comment that The Twins have actually won eight straight games and are among the the hottest teams in baseball, right now. It sounds like the crew of "Baseball Tonight" have been watching too many Redsox-Yankee games.
  •  I am slowly coming around in my attempts to pick up on the game of Poker. I finally located my "Poker For Dummies" dvd that I had gotten and hope to sit myself down this weekend and watch it. I want to send a quick shout-out to my cousin for showing me some of his tricks over the weekend, I only hope he doesn't screw up my learning process further. lol.
  • You heard it here first, according to sources, I am hearing that a new WWE Champion will be crowned this Sunday. It appears Edge will be winning the title from Rob Van Dam. This shouldn't come as surprising if you have been following the shows of late.
  • I would also like to remind all my readers to make sure they check out the site in two weeks for some "must see" specials I have planned for 4th of July week. I will give more details in coming days.
  • Lastly, one observation I've made is that admitting you made a mistake or accepting blame in a dispute can be quite difficult, but when someone makes the effort to correct a wrong and someone else slaps your hand away or doesn't want to acknowledge it--that to me is just as wrong. I've been accused of not "letting things go" in the past and that is a fair argument, but I have never refused to sit down and discuss a problem with someone or ignored their genuine attempt to apologize. I've made my share of mistakes that I can't make up for, but there are somethings you just don't do, even when you're upset. Ignoring or avoiding another's genuine efforts to make amends for their mistake is unproductive and serves no real purpose, I have never understood that line of thinking and I'm pretty damn sure I never will. I just don't get it.
  • On that cheery note, I'll be back later to sift through my thoughts in the attic, that is my mind. -JSM.
